This Russian Punchneedle Embroidery pattern was inspired by the "Angel" bed of the early 18th Century, which featured a canopy suspended from the ceiling with no foot posts. Many of these canopies were covered with draped valances and embellished with bows and tassels. The flowers were added at the foot and head, along with the characteristic criss-cross chenille pattern in the center.

Pattern is silk screened on an 11" fabric square and requires a #1, #2, and #3 (or #6) punchneedle. Additional supplies and suggested threads are listed on the instruction sheet included with the pattern.
